Oczywiście - nie dało się w porę zaprogramować autokomputerów tak, aby dla linii 19 wyświetlały kierunek "Katowice pl. Miarki", stąd jedynie słuszna prowizorka na pulpicie. Z pozdrowieniami dla motorniczego, który narzekał, że coś ostatnio nie widzi siebie na zdjęciach w internecie. ;-)

Od kilku tygodni na K-czce jeździ ta oto "taksówka", zabierająca 17 pasażerów na miejscach siedzących i 10 na miejscach stojących. Wyparła ona biało-bordowego MEX'a natomiast inny przedstawiciel modelu H9-35 jest obecnie remontowany w Ząbkowicach. Taksówka wydaje się pojazdem bardzo ekonomicznym - deklarowane spalanie wynosi 8l/100km.

Każdego ranka ulica Księcia Bolesława jest nieprzejezdna, korek zaczyna się przy pętli Koło a kończy na ulicy Obrońców Tobruku. Jak widać na zdjęciu pan kierowca znalazł sposób na zyskanie paru minut. Zamiast na rondzie zawracał w tej uliczce prowadzącej do Fortu Bema.

This very stylish bus was operated by Tallinna Autobussipargist and came to the museum site in 2004, where there is a large and extremely varied collection of vehicles, including several buses and a Tallinn Tatra T4 tram. Open-air storage in the harsh Estonian climate is a big problem, though.

15 june 2008 - London, Northwick Park station (Metropolitan Line). A slow train to Watford is about to stop at this lovely little stop with a great view onto Wembley stadium. The Met is the most complicated tube line of them all, with 3 kinds of services operating: slows to Uxbridge or Watford, stopping at all stops; semi-fasts to Watford, calling at Baker St., Wembley Park, Harrow-on-the-Hill and all stations west; and fast services, calling only Baker St., Wembley Park, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Moor Park, and all stations west. The role of the slow trains between Baker St. and Wembley Park is played by the Jubilee Line, whereas west of Harrow-on-the-Hill the fast trains run on the same tracks as the Chiltern Railways DMUs. You just can't not like the London Underground :)

15 june 2008 - London Borough of Hillingdon, Western Avenue. An Oxford Tube double-decker has just entered London, having crossed the Green Belt. Sometimes you just can't help liking free competition on the road. Stagecoach invested quite heavily in their coach fleet (the lower deck is even low-floor and wheelchair accessible!), which runs every 10-15 minutes between Oxford and London, even offering free WiFi internet. The journey time is around 100 minutes, the fare is £12 standard, £9 for students. In contrast, the railways have around 2 tph, journey time is an hour and a bit, but a standard fare is a whopping £22.50. Thus, Oxford Tube has successfully swept through the student market and has become so popular, that the Oxford Bus Company decided to run its own service, the Oxford Espress - same frequency, same fares, and free WiFi as well. The only people pissed off by these developments are probably the Londoners, which have to suffer extra half-empty coaches 'littering' the way between Victoria and the A40.
