Konstal 102N #5

7 june 2004 - Poznań, Forteczna depot. The hanging 102N (ca. 2.5m above ground) is being admired by Poznan and Warsaw tram fans, MPK technical staff, and even the manager of the S3 depot (we call him Pinochet, because he is a stiff, snappy old man with some resemblance to the former Chilean dictator).

Konstal 102N #5

7 june 2004 - Poznań, depot S3 Forteczna. The 102N from a rather unusual perspective...

Konstal 102N #5

7 june 2004 - Poznań, depot S3 Forteczna. For the duration of the journey, the tram had its emergency brakes and pantograph taken off. It was first pushed out of the depot by hand, then hoisted to a height of ca. 2.5m with the help of hand-operated jacks and 2 cranes of the MPK. The flat railcar was then pushed underneath it, and the tram was slowly lowered onto the car. It took us around 2,5hrs to complete the exercise.

Konstal 102N #5

7 june 2004 - Poznań, depot S3 Forteczna. This tram would be ideal for Amsterdam, eh? ;)

Konstal 102N #5

7 june 2004 - Poznań, Forteczna depot. This tram was pulled out of service earlier this year. Instead of being scrapped, it was bought (for the price of scrap metal) by the KMKM (Public Transport Fan Club) from Warsaw, who already have Poznan's 102Na-42. This thematical gallery shows a joint effort of tram fans from Poznan and Warsaw, as well as MPK Poznan technical staff to load the tram on a railway platform, using the only connection between the railway and Poznan's tram network (seen in this picture). Thanks to all those, who helped!

Konstal 102N #5

12 january 2004 - Poznań, PST Sobieskiego. That 102N can still kick some arse! ;)

The tram's M.O.T. deadline passed on the 18.I.2004 and it will soon depart to Warsaw to join Poznan's 102Na-42, which is already there.

Konstal 105Na #200

7 january 2004 - Poznań, PST Słowiańska. 105Na+105NaD 200+199 in a self-created cloud of fresh snow. The city's full of snow-salt mud, buses can't start from their bus stops...

Beijnes 3G #809

2 january 2004 - Poznań, Most Teatralny. A tram from the newest batch of Dutch trams runs down the ramp in the direction of the city centre. These trams have horrible single headlights at the rear (for reversing), which were fitted here locally in the central tram works (ZNT).
